Seth Kursman currently serves as Vice President, Public Affairs, Sustainability and Environment for AbitibiBowater Inc.  The Company is in the top ten global producers of forest products and has operations throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and South Korea.  Serving 20 years in various corporate and division-based functions, Seth has acquired extensive political and public policy experience.  Seth moved from Houston, TX and Washington, DC to Montreal in early 2002.  He is responsible for the Company’s overall corporate sustainability and environment programs as well as a fully-integrated communications and government affairs effort.  Overall leadership positions during M&A activity and the corresponding corporate integration process have expanded his scope to include the full range of other corporate support functions as well as Sales and Operations.

Seth received his B.A. in 1988 from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine where he graduated with highest honors in Government and Legal Studies.  He has served on a number of boards and is currently a member of the Marketing Expert Panel at the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University and is a guest lecturer at McGill and Concordia Universities.
