Michael Gerbis

Michael is responsible for overseeing the growth and strategic direction of The Delphi Group, a Canadian strategic consultancy that has been helping companies develop and effectively deploy environmentally responsible business practices that enhance long-term profitability and performance.  Delphi clients now account for an incredible 26% of Canada’s GDP and include 27 of Canada’s Fortune 100 companies across all sectors of the economy.

Michael has 20 years of experience in both the operational and strategic aspects of environmental management. Prior to joining The Delphi Group, Michael owned and operated a successful environmental engineering consulting firm, which assisted organizations improve their bottom-line through corporate pollution prevention strategies.

Michael is also actively involved in the community coaching hockey and soccer and actively educating youth through SHAD Valley International (www.shad.ca) and regular presentations to university and high school students around the country on issues such as climate change, clean energy and sustainable development.  Michael was the founder of the Emerging Leaders Forum, and founding President of The Climate Project – Canada (www.theclimateproject.ca), a not-for-profit group devoted to raising awareness in Canada about climate change.


Michael has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Eng.  from Queens University and a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering  from McMaster University.   He enjoys running, playing hockey and golf, and experiencing what the world has to offer with his family.
